Kara Udy

Kara was born and raised in Athena. She lives there now with her son, Keith, her daughter, Jadyn, and her boyfriend, Travis. They have two dogs, Maggie and P.I., and three cats, Piglet, Whiskey and Lovins. The rest of her family (her mother, Paula; stepdad, Mike; sister, Whitney and her nephew, Benjamin) also all live close by in Athena. Kara enjoys camping and get-togethers with her family.

Kara's other interests include anything to do with animals, with a special interest in surgery and rescue work. She has been involved in trap-neuter-return programs as a volunteer, trapping the cats and providing surgery assistance. Over the years, she has fostered many kitties and dogs while they were waiting to be adopted, and has also played foster mother to many piglets, calves, lambs and kid goats. If it can be bottle fed, she'll take it!

Kara has been with Kennedy Veterinary Services as an assistant since 2006. Her efficiency, skill, problem-solving abilities and abundant compassion for animals, especially those in need, are qualities that benefit not only the animals, but also our practice.
